This is an IP68 rated setup, so do expect this door to be a bit of a pain in the arse to open and close for a while. #Aegis legend 200w no coil detected softwareJust below the 510 off to the edge is a rubber flap that you can lift to access the USB Type – C charge port, used for charging as well as software updates.Īnd finally, of course we have our battery bay door on the bottom of the device. It took a good 10 minutes, and a short while wondering if I’d received a damaged device before I realised that this is how you unlock the device, instead of the usual button combinations. You’d be forgiven for missing it, it does blend in, I certainly did. The Legend 2 comes locked from factory, and that switch on the side is the lock/unlock switch. You might not know what this does now, but if you ever purchase this kit, you’ll need to know immediately. On one side under the “Aegis” letting you’ll find a small slider switch. The top of the device is only 26mm wide, so you can fit some pretty decent sized tanks on here, unfortunately because of the design, anything over about 23mm wide looks a little strange, it doesn’t overhang, but looks like it does. Up top is a 510 connector with steel base plate, with spring loaded gold plated connection pin. At first glance it looks a little over the top, but it is quite a striking looking combo, specially once the stainless steel tank is screwed into place. My version is the light grey model with a faux chrome fascia, grey panel, and grey leather heel. To top things off, the new Legend 2 is IP68 rated, where the original was only IP67.īuilt out of various plastics with a stainless steel shell, the Legend 2 is very lightweight for it’s size. Sure, if it falls, you’ll likely get a few more dings and dents, but removing that rubber, has not only brought the size of the device down, but the weight too. I don’t have the original, but side by side, the styling is very similar, the only real difference is the removal of that annoying dust magnet rubber casing. You’ll instantly recognise the general styling of the Legend 2, Geekvape have made every effort to make sure the latest version of the Legend not only resembles the original, but carries with it the same general feel, and in doing so, the same level of trust that users of the originals had in their devices. The Z tank is a top adjustable airflow tank with a maximum 5.5ml e-liquid capacity, 1/2 turn fill cap, taking Geekvape’s new Z coils, 810 drip tip with optional straight or bubble glass already in the box. That sub-ohm tank is Geekvape’s latest version of their Z tank (2021) (formally known as the Zeus Tank). It boasts a bunch of improvements such as a new IP68 rating, new display, colours, charging port location, lock switch, it’s 30% lighter and 15% smaller, all with a new sub-ohm tank on top. Just like it’s predecessor, the Legend 2 kit or (L200 Kit) as it’s branded, is a dual 18650 battery device, with a maximum wattage of 200 Watts. ![]() Let’s take a look at Geekvape’s L200 (Aegis Lengend 2) kit!īig thanks goes to Geekvape for sending this directly through to me for review! Our friends at Geekvape, have not only matched the original but improved on it too. It was not only sturdy, but flexible with a tonne of options, and stylish to boot! The original Legend was a twin battery, IP67 rated device, built super tough for those who like to throw their gear around. There have been a few iterations of the Aegis Legend, each with their own quirks, but far more importantly is how well they have worked, and what a cult following they have amassed. #Aegis legend 200w no coil detected seriesIn particular mention from the Aegis series and in reference to today’s review, is the Aegis Legend. The Aegis range is legendary in it’s own right, with probably the largest amount of devices falling under the same family name, it spans various types of devices from twin battery, right through to the tiny Aegis Nano. Geekvape have been on a bit of a roll lately, not only with new devices but also revamps of some of their original best sellers. ![]()
